Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) Plans
What is a PPO Plan?
A PCHP PPO refers to a network of participating providers that have agreed to provide medical services at discounted fees. A PPO plan is designed to steer covered persons to network providers by offering better benefits for in-network care than for care received from a provider that doesn't participate in the network.
Advantages of PPO Plans
- Our employers experience reduced plan costs because of the negotiated discounts or contracted rates that the participating providers have agreed to.
- Our expansive network of providers allows covered persons easy access to in-network care and to take advantage of the better benefits.
- Our PPO plans are easy to understand.
- Covered persons can choose to seek care from outside the network of providers, but lesser benefits apply.

A PPO plan is a good choice for employers looking to control costs through negotiated rates and discounts while making it easy for participants to obtain care. We can help you compare a PCHP PPO plan to your current health plan.
