Our insured health plan is underwritten by Assurant Health, a leading independent provider of health insurance.  All of our insured plans are built around the Physicians Care network of 15,000 health care providers that offers covered persons convenient access to care.

We offer a variety of cost-effective plan design choices:

Preferred Provider Option (PPO) Plans

These plan designs encourage participants to see network providers by offering them a higher level of benefits than if they see an out-of-network provider.

Point of Service (POS) Plans

POS plans are similar to PPO plans; however, they require covered persons to select an in-network personal care physician.  Under a POS plan, participants can seek care outside of the network and still have coverage.  In-network care is covered at higher benefit levels than out-of-network care.

Exclusive Provider Options (EPO) Plans

EPO plans are similar to POS plans but offer lower out-of-network benefits.

Whether you’re interested in a PPO, POS, or EPO plan design, all of these plan designs offer a choice of deductibles, co-payments, and prescription benefit coverage.  All of our plan designs can be combined with a Health Reimbursement Arrangement.  We also offer a Health Savings Account (HSA)-compatible high-deductible health plan (HDHP), and we can even assist you with an HSA investment account setup

In addition, we offer employers the option of purchasing a traditional HDHP paired with a Medical Reimbursement Arrangement (MRA).  The employer uses an MRA to fund a portion of the higher deductible for employees and, from time to time, other expenses.  Even after covering a portion of the higher deductible for employees, most employers realize substantial savings because the reduction in premium usually exceeds the amount contributed to the MRA.
