Sales Coordinator

We are a West Michigan health plan benefits administrator seeking to hire an individual that has a desire to grow with us. We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to provide inside sales support to our Sales Representatives and Vice President of Business Development to support business growth. 

The Sales Administrative Coordinator duties include: screen and coordinate incoming prospective opportunities for quality and thoroughness of information received, maintain department records/tracking tools for all incoming requests for proposal, communicate with brokers regarding request for proposals, assist in the solicitation of stop loss proposals, maintain database of agent assignments, manage and inventory sales material, prepare sales presentation materials, coordinate and schedule meetings for Sales staff, provide weekly and monthly reporting of proposal activity, and other projects/tasks as required to support department performance.  This position is also relied upon heavily to cultivate relationship with our agent partners while managing the flow of new business proposals to and from ASR.  

The Sales Coordinator position requires high level of professionalism, attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of ASR sales staff as well as external agent partners.  This position would require the ability to work in the office at least 2-3 days a week and 2-3 days from home depending on department needs.  Home office must meet HIPAA guidelines and ASR requirements.

Qualified Candidate:

  • Must have strong critical thinking skills, the ability to exercise independent judgment and the ability to problem-solve effectively.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Must display a sense of urgency for the completion of responsibilities and tasks.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize effectively in a fast paced work environment.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal, written, and customer service skills.
  • Should have proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have excellent attendance to full contribute to the team.
  • Must possess strong team work skills and willing to collaborate.
  • Must have the ability to self-motivate and work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with policies and procedures in support of certification and case management activities
  • Multi-task with variety of work tasks
  • Demonstrate flexibility with additional tasks as assigned

A high school diploma or GED required and a minimum of 2-3 years of either related industry or experience as Administrative Assistant.  The position offers an attractive salary, and an excellent benefit package, including a substantial employer matching contribution to our 401K.
